I had such a blast last week doing Easter pics with the baby chicks! I think most of the kiddos enjoyed it too! A few were a bit uneasy with the chicks but we still got some awesome shots! All photos are done and have been delivered! Yay! Here are a few of my favorites from last week…it was REALLY hard to narrow it down to just a handful! Enjoy and Happy Easter from SEP!
In the month of March I will be offering my Deluxe Package at half price! Easter is just a couple months away which means it’s time to start thinking of Easter/Spring portraits to send out to friends and family! I love to scrapbook so I have a habit of taking lots of pictures in a variety of poses and compositions which makes it great to scrapbook pages or create collages! Create a collage from the many photos from your portrait session to send out to friends and family! They will love getting a print/card of multiple poses!
We now have a studio! I will still do mainly on-location photography anywhere in Kansas City but now you have the option to come to my studio if weather does not permit for outside photos! It is located off of Shawnee Mission Parkway in Shawnee, KS. This studio will mainly be used for children and newborns but it will not be limited to this group. I am excited about this new option and hope it can be used for you sometime! I am taking appointments for Mini Valentine Portrait Sessions now so contact ASAP to schedule your spot! Also, I’m starting to think about Easter Portraits…anyone like the idea of having pictures taken with live baby chicks or bunnies?
January is Sanctity of Human Life month because it was January 1973 when the infamous Roe v. Wade ruling was issued. “That was 39 years ago and as tragic as it was, it is a reminder that God uses all things together for good.” Without Roe, Life Choice Center for Women in Harrisonville, MO, would likely not exist today. “Because it was after that the Christian community recognized a need–crisis pregnancies–and began meeting that need.” God has been doing great things in the lives of those who come through the Center’s doors! Following is an excerpt from their newsletter talking about how God is working to help the Center provide for the needs of even more people!
“Over a year and a half ago, our prayer group at Life Choice Center started asking God to supply us with a larger building. As our Center has grown, it has become obvious that we need more space for another counseling room, class room and additional office space. I had checked into renting or purchasing a larger building but everything I found was considerably more than the Center could afford.”
“I am excited to announce that God is answering our prayers in a way that we couldn’t have imagined! I have received a verbal commitment from a foundation who is going to donate a modular building to us. For the last several months we have been searching for land and we have found the perfect location. We are in the process of purchasing the lot and the next step is to raise the funds for the foundation work, parking lot, curbs and sidewalks. Please join us in praying that God will continue to supply the needed funds to finish our building project!”
I will gladly update you on the progress of this building project as I learn more! If you would like more information about Life Choice Center for Women please see my website HERE!
I took my little boy out last year and did some snow pictures on a rather warm January day right after a big snow storm. It was the perfect time for snow pictures…plenty of snow but not so cold that he had to be bundled up! He loved it and I enjoyed capturing his first time playing in the snow! Seeing these pictures reminds me of how fun a photo session like this can be! If you are interested in a “Snow Much Fun” photo session stay plugged into my blog or Facebook and when it looks like there will be a perfect day for it I will announce the day and location! Keep in mind this may be a very short notice event as the weather can be somewhat unpredictable but I will try and give as much notice as possible! Looking forward to being able to capture a lot of fun in the snow this winter!
Sara Elizabeth Photography believes in giving back! We know we can make the greatest impact on our communities by supporting causes that are important to our customers right in their own neighborhoods. That is why a portion of your portrait package purchase goes to City Union Mission to help struggling men, women, and families get back on their feet or Life Choice Center for Women to help women with unplanned pregnancies. Here is a link to a story about how City Union Mission has helped one of thousands of families, http://heartofthehomeless.blogspot.com/2012/01/god-and-city-union-mission-turned-our.html. Please visit SEP’s website at www.saraelizabethphoto.com for more details about the organizations that we support!
SEP is starting a Rewards Program! For every 5 portrait sessions you purchase you will receive 1 FREE! At your next session I will give you a card that looks like the above image and I will mark off #1. Bring this card back to your next 4 portrait sessions and I will mark them off. Then you get a portrait session FREE! The first 5 sessions do not have to be the same packages but the free session must be equal to the smallest package of the previous 5 that were purchased. For example, you purchase the half session for sessions 1 & 2, the deluxe session for session 3, and the mini session for sessions 4 & 5 then your free session must be a mini session. If you purchase a deluxe session for all 5 sessions then your free session would be a deluxe session! Hope to see a lot of people take advantage of this!
